Two distinct situations I feel led me down this path.

My original parents aren't together. My mom didn't like me listening to cuss words but my dad just liked the music. I remember my dad listening to the first e40 cd way way back. I remember saying something about they cuss too much due to what I was taught. My dad told me 'its not all cuss words listen to what they're saying though. ' he was right. Its more then that. E40 put me on game about a lot of shit and still do to this day.

The second occasion was years later in jr high. I had dmx 'and then there was x' cd. Thought it was the rawest shit ever 'what's my name' was as hardcore as I coulf thonk possible at the time. I was listening to the cd repeatedly, and it got to the point I started writing down what he was saying by rewinding and fast forwarding a bunch of times. I wrote a line down in particlar, 'strong arm and show a little muscle'. My step dad bust In my room and took the paper saying 'don't be writing this you don't even know that this means something else'.

I didn't know it was refrencing a robbery.

I wad intrigued by the fact that a simple once over was not enough to truly understand what the artist is really trying to say.

I count those two events as what subsequently led me down the path of a writer.

And for me.. it was always what I saw in school for real that led me to game. All the black dudes kicking the beat box and muh fuckaz in the cypher at lunch. I just loved the art of this shit man. I was a wack ass rhyming white boy in the middle of a huge crowd of black dudes trying to get it in and shit knowing I sucked.. eventually I got dope as hell at the beatbox and would just kick it while they rhymed. Finally I was able to put together shit in words and as time went on.. I became a beast imo. I always knew I loved this shit.. you can thank philadelphia public school systems for genocides presence lol.

Needed a medium to vent so I wouldn't off myself back in 7th grade, so I started writing lyrics as poetry was bullshit to me back then. If it wasn't for writing I don't know if I'd still be here. Dead serious. Took a break a couple years and picked it up again at 16-17, I'll leave it at that. No-one cares about the story.

I started writing rhymes in middle school. Mostly wrote like motivational lyrics cause that was my steez,my fault she is a evangelist and motivational speaker. I started looking up lyrics to nas If i ruled the world. I was into the east coast lyrics then my own south heritage but hated the beats new yorker used. So I wanted to be that texas rapper with new york lyrics lol. Then I just stuck to writing never went vocal.
