Ok here is the deal, im getting bored as fuck with the same foods i basically eat baked chicken strips, baked potato, or fried fish,


so any one has any dope dishes that i can make cuz im looking ot try new shit, tell me what it is n how to cook it yo

erytime i look at some cook book site that hsit is horrid n seems wierd

freal theres like infinite possiblities with some pasta, 2-3 cheeses and vegetable/meat

spices, herbs, pesto, olive oil whatever the fuck I got i just get it together and stick it in the over for like 45 minutes and look like a master chef afterwards

Chicken Parmigiana:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Season chicken on both sides with salt and pepper. Dredge each breast in the flour and tap off excess, then dip in the egg and let excess drip off, then dredge on both sides in the bread crumbs. Divide the oil between 2 large saute pans and heat over high heat until almost smoking. Add 2 chicken breasts to each pan and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking sheet and top each breast with some tomato sauce, a few slices of the mozzarella, salt and pepper, and a tablespoon of Parmesan. Bake in the oven until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and garnish with basil or parsley leaves.

Country Fried Chicken:

In a bowl, mix 2 teaspoons salt with 2 cups water. Put in the chicken parts and let soak for 15 to 20 minutes. Drain. Mix together the flour, pepper and salt and batter the chicken by dipping the pieces in the flour mixture until they are coated on all sides, shaking off excess flour. In a skillet, over medium heat, heat the shortening. It should be at 350 degrees. If the shortening appears too hot, remove the skillet from the heat and let it cool a little. Brown the chicken on all sides, reducing the heat if needed as it cooks. It takes about 20 minutes to fry chicken for it to be well done.

Lemon Chicken:


1 Place lemon juice, lemon peel, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a small bowl, whisk to combine. With the tip of a sharp knife, cut into each chicken piece one or two times by about 1/2 an inch. (This will help the marinade penetrate.) Place the chicken pieces and the marinade in a gallon-sized freezer bag. Rotate the bag so that all chicken pieces are coated with the marinade. Seal the bag and place in a bowl in the refrigerator (in case of leakage). Let marinate for 2 hours.

2 Preheat oven to 425°F. Remove chicken from marinade and place in a single layer in a large baking dish, skin side up. Reserve the marinade. Use a pastry brush to brush a little melted butter on to each piece of chicken.

3 Bake for a total of 50 to 55 minutes, until the skins are crispy brown, and the chicken is cooked through, juices running clear (breasts have an internal temperature of 165°F and thighs 175°F). Half-way through the baking, at about the 25 minute mark, baste the chicken pieces generously with reserved marinade.

Depending on the size of the breasts, they may be ready before the thighs, so if you are cooking a mix of chicken parts, keep that in mind, you may have to take them out of the oven before the thighs.

Let rest, covered in foil, for 10 minutes before serving.

4 Pour the juices from the pan into a serving bowl. Use a tablespoon to skim the fat off the top (save the fat for cooking with later, or discard, but do not discard down the drain or it will solidify and clog your drain). Serve the chicken with the juices on the side or a little poured over the top of the chicken.

Serve alone or with steamed rice.

With the country fried chicken, I'd cook either buttered spinach or peas. And mashed potatoes.

With the lemon chicken, I'd steam rice and have steamed, chopped veggies (carrots, red bell peppers, green bell peppers, yellow bell peppers, orange bell peppers, broccoli, cauliflower.)

I like a pineapple salsa as a side dish for a lot of meals:
Just chop pineapple, cucumber and red onion into small peices
For a dressing use lime juice and honey
Shit's gooood... Esp with a spicy meal - balances the flavours


Sorry I can't add much to the main components.. I just get a steak or a peice of chicken or w/e and add some spices and then cook it usually

This usually. Except the steak part. I'm a vegetarian, but my girlfriend likes chicken. So I usually just cook some chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, thyme and occasional Woechestershire. But I like to do special, full course meals sometimes.
