Style and grace fade like fifty shades of grey
Shifting grass blades arranged across whats paved
I sit on a well of wonder, thoughtless sure?
Home sweet home or atleast once was all of yours
My castle in my kingdom rubble - floored
Muhamid born, as poor as the name adorned
This life was once sacred for all of i
Built from the first dirt storm coursing its why?
My mind a glass martini goblet open gold
Revealing some days of old are far too rich to behold
Infact its far beyond the never never
Wetter then murals on a grave smothered
Wetter then the leather cows that birth and die here
Wetter then the sour milk that fills the well tiered

I once saw this as desert land - endless
no grain of sand untamed no oil unfound
no mirage unpainted and no person around

But now - look at it sticks and dung
a beetle so feetle wouldnt kill itself here if its call for help was hung

a sad song sung
a bad note sprung
a grass land of a clown too proud to unmount what it loves

one tear falls as clear as the ocean for the sky
in hope how i remembered this place never dies
