Pride
Spit it out.
Already, I'm unthreading. But it is him who has come undone. Pride, is sleep, threatening a beheading. And I still feel like I won. There it is again. Barely a shadow. Menacing. I just want to give you love, but venom seeps. I swear my pride wants to put an end to me. And this pit. Between my throat and my chest, is getting the best of me. Who gave this darkness so much power over Everything. How could you let it swallow me. And then hollow me? It is, an undescribable horror, that hovers in my corners and follows me. Choking every loving thing I want to spit out. How vulnerable we would be. It is pulling. It is. But it, I am knot. |
