deep in the links of a wilderness hell/
It's been but a week and my hands have began to swell/
from choppin obstacles with the machete I've held/
This jungle is the path of life and I'm tryin to grab the light/
but the planet's trife demandin I sacrifice my sight/
what I hold sacred/ must be forsaken if I'm to make it/
then in the afterlife God will have me eliminated/
So I press on the road seldom travelled by most/
deep into the jungle/ it's savage and merciless/
tryin to prove my worthiness by killing the lion/
that has slain so many of me and mine/ throughout time/
I'm defending myself with the lines of my rhymes/
leavin penmarks and darts so my trace they can find/
If I should be lost so they can send scouts to retrieve me/
I tell 'em shit is hard but of course they don't believe me/
October 11/ I'm nearer to the beast it's clear/
bloody trails and bodies of those/ chosen not to make it/
destiny is no such thing life is what you make it/
the animals will try to slay you, so see if you can take it/
even if they don't kill you, it's uncomfortable to say the least/
you'll see casualties of others who failed to slay the beast/
And many escape the nature and manage to find salvation/
in civilization which form a Utopian nation/
but waitin off in the jungles, you'll find there's no escapin/
Other hunters will kill you to make there chances greater/
and yo, do you knowwww, what you're goin through/
there's gonna be some shit you have to do/
practice thine faith, find the right one that speaks truth/
the only time I cry is when I'm disappointed by you/
the people who turn cannibal and harm there own in the jungle/
feeding off the misery of those whose home is the jungle/
I wonder what are you thinkin/ you gotta find the exit/
the lion tries to prevent it if you get sympathetic/
it's pathetic when people regress into the primal forms/
it's sad when those outside the jungle stay content in their norms/
No help is ever sent, it's evident, you're on your own/
The lion is violent/ it steals life, and leaves it silent/
I'm finding some peace, in my lady but then there's pressure/
I have a seed coming, and I want it's life to be better/
My daughter shouldn't see the slaughter when she's so young/
nor if he's my son, but never forget, where you came from/
and if you've never been in the jungle that's cool too/
just make sure you knoww what others are goin thru/
Fuck survival, I'm trying to get out baby/
I'm obligated to protect my comin seed and my lady/
October 28 I finally find the lion/
teeth bloody and sharp/ I'm checking my heart/
Sacrifice so much, worked so hard/
For what? so the people I love can have a fresh start/
I throw myself to the beast, may I be torn apart/
If my child will find happiness/ tell my wife be glad with this/
shed no tears for me, I only did what's right/
If I should die before I wake then baby may you see the light/
time heals all wounds and long after I'm gone/
You'll be livin on and on...
Don't you know I'd die for you to live a better life/
that's the challenge I give to others, sacrifice/
if we all care for the next man as much as ourselves/
we'll all escape the jungle we'll all escape hell...
It's long I know, oh well.
I have no idea what's got into me lately, this isn't
going to be recorded, just somethin' I wrote for somebody.
Don't worry, I'll be back to freestyle joints on my next
post.
