My uncle had just turned 35. Sorry for your loss. Him and I were very close. Just a 7 yr difference. He got me into martial arts. Guided me so many times. So many words of wisdom. The one person you never think anything is going to happen to. Drives off a fucking cliff??? I DONT GET IT..

One of my close friends died the same way, 8 years ago on December 16th...this was great and the meaning and emotion was evident...you're a great writer and everything you do is dope but this may be my favourite, it was very real.

Black, thanks. Yeah that's him suspending in the crater of Mt. St. Helens. In an interview, he said it was the most enlightening thing he had ever experienced. Inexpressible through words. I'm actually getting it tatt'd down my right side. Only he'll have the "priest eyes".. Which is gonna be sick. The first tattoo he ever got was the priest eyes, which you can see in the middle of his right arm if you zoom in. I'm just still puzzled over this. I've been trying to stay positive and everything but it isn't right. It's like everything he taught me? For what? Closest thing to a son he ever had. Gone.

I think anyone who's lost someone close to them can relate to this piece. You dropped enough personal references to your uncle that it was uniquely yours, but the feeling (if such a thing exists in reading a text piece) was pronounced and honestly made me think of my grandfather passing. Your writing is usually dominated by this certain 'fuck you idc' attitude. So to see you apply your talents (which are considerable) in regards to an emotional feeling/moment/ennui is pretty powerful. Your use of caps lock was pin point perfect; it didn't feel like you used caps for effect; you needed to for release. It was natural. You could feel it through the screen, almost, the anger/confusion/frustration. I think this is one of the best pieces I've read on here. It's a weird thing, this whole netcees experience. I feel bad saying this was a great piece of writing, almost. I wish the circumstances that lead to me reading it never happened. Because it's rare to really feel this much when someone passes. It's usually just flowers and 'it was his time'. This felt wrong to you, and it really comes through in the writing. I'm rambling. Like I said, this netcees thing is weird. I don't really know you as a person but the feeling of empathy this piece swelled in me was real. The fact it was written so succinctly and masterfully only aided that. Wish it never had to be written but it did, and it's a cultural piece of this site, in my opinion.

No end in sight. It's an eternal crater in my heart. Wasnt just a dude. This was totally unexpected. Very deep SHOCK. I can not comprehend this. He was everything. Main pot. Everything else was minescule little side bets. He had a vision for me. A plan and goals and he was supposed to be here with me for that like always. My big uncle justin. You know he was just soooooooo cool and there. And everything was bareable. Now nothing is. I don't know what to do. I work. Get home. Dwell. Pick up girl. Dwell. Make her cry. I'm hurting myself. Can't eat. Lost what little muscle I had. I am just a comple shell right now and maybe forever. He was it for me. For a lot of fucking people, he was it. Like it's been embedded deeeeep into, my roots are his roots. His were there before mine. They were always stronger and more sturdy. The strength of his presence alone was a magnificent force to see. Always aware and understanding. Or not. Not if you needed a talking to. Like if we'd meet in person, you'd be hearing of my uncle justin whether you wanted to or not. WHEN he was alive.
