Darkness At Noon

Weeping, screaming, suicide, that's the state at the moment
The sky is grey, getting darker, and I gaze at it frozen
Every thing tried is hopeless, there's no way to escape
Noon is the time when every one is facing their fate
So many lie lifeless, others wait for their death
People scream, crying out in pain and distress
Knowing what's happening, they have no will to speak
The only thing "clicked" in their mind is their kill instinct
I'm feeling weak, I know others are feeling the same
Lying depressed, crying and stressed, I'm really in pain
I never thought the end would happen in my life time
Even though the signs were there I was distracted cuz of my life
With only minutes left I pray, "dear god, please help us"
Even though I know no matter what our earth is helpless
I see the asteroid in the sky, it's about to strike
Knowing that it'll rid the earth of all its life
I make no moves at all, I just stand there and watch it
I can't even cry anymore, I stand with my hands in my pockets
My face twitching in fear, I know the rock is soon to strike
I never thought at only 14 I would loose my life
The sky becomes brighter as the asteroid approaches
I stare at it, to other things I'm devoid of focus
It's so close it burns my eyes, so I turn to the right
I hear screams, as the rock and the earth collide
I hear an explosion, my ears ring, this is the start of our doom
As I die I see nothing but blackness, this is "Darkness at Noon"
