Default Been seriously considering a nintendo switch grip...

Ya.. Idk man. That zelda shit and pokemon shit is just appealing as fuck to me. Always has been. Nostalgia i suppose..

Def grabbin a ps5 as soon as im able, obv. But im seriously thinking bout a switch and hooking it up to my new smart tv i.gripped for the bedroom. Ps4 is living room shit and ps5 will be also.. Perhaps the ps4 will go in the bedroom when i grip a 5.. But ya.. Idk man. What say yall. Is a switch worth it.for real? Game selection just seems really recycled and behind with new releases being really outdated on systems with better tech. Idk. Lmk what yall think and shit. Have one? Happy with it, hate it? Sup

you can play the zelda on a wiiU if you really want (which are much cheaper, shit console though with with very few good games)

pokemon is basically the same game since we were kids. since i played pokemon blue on a gameboy colour when i was like 8, honestly. with a fresh lick of paint. and those were dope but they were handheld games. there hasn't been a true home console-level entry for the pokemon genre and there might not be. soooooo, probably not worth it unless you really want to trade with your friends? which i'm guessing you don't.

play some hacked roms on a flashcart with ds/3ds if you really want a pokemon fix. preferably the harder ones.

switch is gimmicky. catered to casuals and die-hard nintendoids with their unique IPs. tbh, all the current/last generation consoles are super underwhelming. i have a ps4 and there is only like, half a dozen stellar games on it (unless i'm sleeping heavily on some gems).

don't buy it. i wouldn't -- not until it is like half the price or they release a truly better version (the new regular model is marginally better on performance, the handheld only switch is a regression/budget-not-really-budget model).

find something better to do with your time.

As a filthy casual, I like it. Got one on sale last year and don't regret it. Only have zelda, Mario kart, smash, Mario tennis, and fire emblem, and the online comes with nes/snes games. The online is bad. It's player to player connection behind a paywall. Serviceable at best, but like one in twenty smash games seem to end in a disconnection (probably the other guy's shit wifi)

As the kind of person who only buys 4 games in a year, I like it, even though the nostalgia factor isn't huge for me
