Why would they strip him of his title though? The UFC is a try-hard organization. They love to try and be reputable, don't they? Lame as fuck, in my eyes. It's not like Jones killed anyone. I like how they made the decision with such quickness. If anything, they should've stripped him of his title when he ruined the UFC event a few years ago by not fighting Sonnen.

stripping title was punitive and pointless imo. should have pulled him and fined him and let the legal situation play out. now you just have a phony championship match that nobody will take seriously, completely irrelevant to his outside actions. LHW division is a lot more interesting now, though.
