i mean i'm sure they have all sorts of tables and graphs and quotas for different subjects and overall improvement and i'm sure it also depends on grad rates, dropout rates, amount of students that need special education etc.

but,

i've heard enough stories from teachers about being in seriously stressful conundrums of wanting to teach their class certain things or using different creative approaches but only having enough time to teach the test answers knowing their funding largely depends on it.

i worked as a rep for a clark county, nevada teachers union for a short period
