That is why Floyd is 49-0, sir. (I know 50 - Connor doesn't count... He was actually moving forward in that fight and didn't need to go in defense mode.)
A lot of you have to understand the sport in order to see where the draw came from.
Do I Agree with it? NO - I think GGG Edged the fight, however it was close... Canelo's defense is close to impeccable, considering he's flat off of the foot. His head and upper body movement is amazing.
I kept saying, keeping Canelo on the ropes was going to be his demise and it was... GO figure... Canelo is more effective with his back on the ropes then any where else in the damn ring. GGG should have known better and kept him in the center coming forward. Had he kept his back off the ropes, decision would have been clear. Center of the ring GGG controlled the fight. On the ropes, Canelo controlled the fight.
Big counter punches will win a fight and Canelo landed a lot of them...
But keep in mind, Rounds 10, 11 and 12 are the game changers.
