My default, favorite song of all time
Some of my favorite guitar work. Built to Spill has 10+ classics. One of the few songs where the guitar wankery actually adds to the pathos. Plus a million years of nostalgia, give or take. Very Driving in Ohio vibe, for me.
Probably my favorite song that I first heard as an adult, discounting Joanna Newsom. Probably not the best Spencer Krug, or Wolf Parade, song, but the one that made me interested in the artist/band. 1:57 to 2:22 has some of my favorite lyrics of all time and the guitar hits afterwards, throughout the rest of the song, are excellent.
