Enjoyed your piece a lot as well. It's personal and cuts deep, can relate to a few of the things you're touching on, great choice of metaphors and imagery to create that emotional image of desperation. "you read Tolstoy like your truth lay in the letters of ghosts", this shit in particular hits hard on how tough it is to deal with a person with unrealistic expectations. I might be reading/understanding it wrong cus I a few tokes a little while ago, but that's what I got out of it and thought it was pretty clever.

Like a previous poster said about this couplet; it's dope af. The cadence on point and a joy to read:
silken robe, our idols carved in marble, frozen in place
we've all had dreams our better halves have stolen away
