So. This was not a SCOTUS ruling on the issue, it was a ruling to stay an injunction placed by lower courts as they heard challenges. SCOTUS decided to stay the injunction for procedural reasons.
Stay tuned, this isn't done yet. Just going to make life a lot worse for a lot of people, which I would imagine would sway public opinion a bit, which is pretty necessary for the election because if this passes, you need similar executive action to get rid of it.
