i'm an odd individual, flawed, a criminal
thoughts are too cynical, wanna be mystical
honestly, hypocritical, like god is so pivotal
still caught up in these rituals, locked in this habitual
typical, analytical, political train of thought
that left my spirit derailed and my brain unlocked
fearfully impaled, already laying in my plot
I should change my life, can barely change my socks
quick to say that I should stop, planted the seed, but couldn't raise the crops
it's the way it's gotta be, I'm just taking stock
torn between freedom and obeying the clock
tick tock, tick tock, till the day it stops and the curtain drops
just trying to stay on top, of the herd, the flock
i don't know if you've been told, if you heard or not
you only get one shot, everything returns to the dirt and rots...
