With anything that involves litigation, provide paperwork.

Attach copies of your bank statements along with your rental agreement. With a highlighter, highlight the amounts you pay and how.much you receive.

I'd write a note just stating the cold hard facts.


For the past X years it's been extremely difficult for me to provide for both my child and myself. Financially, it can be done, but at the cost of my quality of life. A reevaluation of how much I need to pay would not only help me personally, it will help me financially. As in, I'll be able to save money for inevitable car troubles, which would help me maintain employment, which of course gives.me the.means to make my child support payments in full and on time.


Something to that effect. It doesn't have to be bleeding heart shit ..just state facts letting them know you're a person and money doesn't just fall in your lap without working for it.
