Roar had Blanco Bishop this week and used a np/chess reference to secure the win. While one can probably say that chess references on Blanco are redundant, what really helped Roar overcome BB was the entire package. Solid concept with great build-up and even better payoff. Not bad at all.

Much like the aforementioned chess reference, the 'go for BROKE" np that Swerve dropped against me made me cringe. Not that the bar was low-quality or anything, bc it wasn't, but due to the fact I have seen and used that phrase so many times. What really made this bar special was the personal. Overlooking the cliched np, the concept was fresh and flipped very nicely. I remember reading this and thinking just how fierce and polished it was in execution (similar to the bar in my signature). Easily the BOTW.
