Can't say that Reasonable Doubt was better than Illmatic but it's one of Jay's classic cuts... Which he does have more than Nas.
And I'll tell you this, I feel like more rappers look to Nas's Illmatic as a blueprint on how to make a classic album. Definitely a rappers best friend when it comes to teaching someone how to make a great first impression. Not saying Reasonable Doubt isn't just as good, but Illmatic's a formula to follow.
But at the end of the day, Jigga is that man! Between him and Eminem, I don't really see any other rapper being able to still spit heat, stay relevant, continue to have commercial and financial success or be able to have such a huge influence in the media or society as a whole!
