I mostly agree with this list. Which is weird, because most people on this site are stupid.
Hip Hop isn't dead, though. So long as there's good music out there, it's still going. I think what you mean is the rarity of good music. Fads have been trending in the wrong direction for over a decade if you ask me. I remember when the underground got really popular, and everyone was kind of waiting for one of those 'true' emcees to break through to the mainstream and change what was generally perceived as good Hip Hop. Eminem got signed. Released SSLP, MMLP and then shortly after and during The Eminem Show turned into his version of a gangster rapper. Signed 50 Cent and gave traction to the shitty music movement. There will always be shitty rap music, but it's when that shitty music is given credibility that things seem hopeless.
Macklemore is good, popular Hip Hop.
