I tried to talk about it when it first started happening and I did my best to make new members stay, but no one was listening. We lost at least 2-3 new active members willing to learn in the span of a few weeks, one of which just quit music altogether. Where's the positive in that? That coupled with vetoing no to a merge between RB and NCs was the final nail in the coffin.

You can get a donation thing up, the HTTPS stuff and server costs ain't that huge. If you want activity you need to do a proper rehaul of the site in terms of the way shit is run. Stuff like mixtapes (there's more and more audioheads now) is great for both networking, good shit to listen to and a sense of community. I still listen to a few of my fav tracks from the CC mixtapes Vol.1-5 (or however many they made) from time to time
thhat in the last part you said doesn't really matter at this point, if all that is fixed nobody will know about it, you got to promote.

also it's also not only the toxicity it was mainly the admins that killed all forums like these, because if they was met with the same energy the admins would ban them on sight, then talk shit. I aam one of the only other admins that allowed shit talk and never banned anyone even if they asked for it, I mean tthere was tthat one time on here way back in the day, and I never hear the end of it, but it was cheered if one of the other admins banned someone LOL, the two way street bs ruined forums.

fb groups aren't really active tho anymore really, the whole battle rap niche is pretty dead aside from watching rap battles, nobody cares about getting on a forum and doing it.

problem is anybody can run a website and it's so cheap, if it was more exclusive owners would care more about what content was on it.
