Quoted this because I feel the same in a lot of situations. It was never that much fun to write competitively because in general you have to change the way you write if you want to win. Which stops you from just doing what's fun and makes writing more of a chore. When you're writing for yourself more than an external audience, I feel like a lot of that goes away.

Dope piece. Simple but effective with the rhymes. Thought provoking content that comes from an honest place, great source material.

I didn't see the suicidal angle as much as a kind of futility in believing that the past can't be changed, even if you literally had the power to change it. There is something deeply sad about that, but slightly different from kill yourself sad.
