You can do whatever. I never read verses before I've written and posted mine as I don't want anything like that to influence my writing or thought process. This has had some backlash in the past tho, with people thinking I've let early posters influence my writing when we've just had similar ideas. Whether you trust me on this or not is up to you tho, generally a good rule of thumb to wait anyways in case an idea pops up and it's too late to edit. I never ask for feedback from others either which I know some people do before posting.
