I’ve been on sabbatical, lost in a dream
Hiding between the crumbled debris of a fallen regime
I’ve been called a mogul, a genius…whatever you want to believe
That still couldn’t deter fate’s hands inevitable swatting of me
Being hailed as one of the planet’s most respected people
Means nothing once the dollars that you’ve collected leave you
Now I’m broke again, soak it in, the sobering decline
Between the blue birds and red herrings I should have noticed all the signs

Spending my downtime in gas stations, 711’s denizen
First sip of cold coffee’s courtesy of the inattentive attendant
I stumble back into the streets, the sky stuck in a purgatory between dawn and dusk
I open my billfold praying I still got some hard earned bucks
But inside of it is only the mocking blackness of an infinite abyss
Sucking in anything it can get its hands on like an inter dimensional rift
I close the black hole and forcefully shove it back into my pocket
Back to scouring the payment for purpose or dropped change to turn a profit
Was never an astronaut, but everyone I met was into spacey craft
And Favors tend to dry up fast once you don’t have the cash to Pay Pals back

I trudge down a darkened alleyway, sliding down the wall in defeat
Trying to find sanctuary from the cold, i bury my head in my knees
Cursing the world again as I’m faced with another harsh winter
Got here through bad investments and choices, I should have never bought Twitter
As I doze off, a light invades my sight, blazing off my spectacles
My heart jumps as I look up and am surrounded by a plethora of Teslas
A man steps out, it’s Donald Trump, he flashes his selfish grin
“Elon…the worlds in trouble, we need your help again”
