84 is typically considered the best draft class of all time: Hakeem, MJ, Barkley, Stockton, and a handful of modest all-stars.
But when I look at it, I think 96 just has MORE talent. Of course there's no MJ caliber players, or even Barkley or Olajuwon caliber, but still: Kobe, Nash, AI, Ray Allen, plus a handful of above-average all-stars like Marbury, Jermaine O'neal and Starbury. To me, it's between those two years, unless more of the 03 players turn in phenomenal careers (Melo has it in him to get some rings, which would help the case).
