Crypto has a lot of valid benefits that I’m rooting for (decentralized, deflationary nature etc.) and I’m still not sure if the added traffic that comes from turning it into this running joke is really a great trade off for trivializing a legitimate movement and simultaneously giving lawmakers an easy scapegoat if they push back against the technology in favor of those who currently have the majority of wealth.
That being said, plenty of those with wealth are on board e.g. Elon musk with crypto, so that makes me hopeful
