Poker is fun, don't get me wrong.
Roulette is more about you beating the table rather than you beating a player. There's less intangibles.
Thing about poker is that you can play perfectly and do everything right, yet still lose due to playing against players that don't know to fold 72 off suit when you raise with AK of diamonds.
For roulette I started out playing the odds on black/red, odd/even and high/low. I would just walk by a table and see it hit 3 of any in a row and lay down money on the opposite. If it didn't hit, I'd just double up. I'd keep doing this until it hit, which it eventually did.
Yes, there is a chance it won't hit for a very long time, but very unlikely. Yes, I know that each spin is technically 50% chance each time. The probability of it hitting the same so many times is just so low that it doesn't matter, though.
You CAN lose with this strat, but you will win majority of the time. In the long run, you will win more money than you lose with that strat.
I play numbers now as well, though. More complicated. Basically just look at the board, any numbers it hasn't hit, pick them and play. Keep picking the same numbers until one of them hits then pick a new number in place of that one that hasn't hit.
Same as before, I know that each time it can hit any number and that it can hit the same number over and over. This is also very unlikely like the above strat and you WILL win more times than not using this strat.
