When i got to pick my quote for senior yearbook, man i was damn proud
Hit them with that Joe Budden, "Why try to fit in when you're a standout?"
Ironic because a decade hasn't even passed, and I'm lost in the damn crowd
Should be self sufficient living off the land, milking a cash cow
But i took every handout now I'm walking on eggshells in a glass house
Hoping it doesn't crack and in turn make my whole life crash down
Going for broke, i already cried them a river another ocean to go
There's times i contemplated biting the bullet and choking on rope
But alas i persevered and wrote these stoic poet notes that you know
In a world defined by yours and mine dirt and grime
I spin these words like thread through the worst of times, the burden of mine
