Harper's deal is fine in terms of AAV vs. Expected WAR. The whole point of the Machado/Harper megadeals was their youth. They should produce enough excess value against their salaries in years 1-6ish that the decline in the later years is already accounted for. Harper's the more volatile asset but if he has a couple years like 2015 it's worth the term.

Not that it matters because the Phillies are shit. Kapler is shit. Kingery is a forever bust. Hoskins peaked at 18 or however old he was as a rookie. Arrieta will run out of steroids. Nola is dope though.

Astros are more talented than Boston. NYY are better than Boston. True talent wise Boston is third.

NL Central is going to be a dogfight. I think a healthy Bryant and Darvish and a normal Rizzo season will be enough for the Cubs.
