From my own personal experience if you don't nip this in the bud within the first 72 hours you are opening yourself to, at minimum, extortion. She will try to use this unfortunate incident against you. It's even likely that she premeditated the entire situation. At first she will insist that you tell your fiancee the truth under the guise of remorseful and tormented best friend who is carrying an unbearable amount of guilt. Naturally, you won't do it. This is to be expected and she knows it. You're already walking on egg shells as to not ruin the engagement. A week from that happening, with no new development other than an increase in how randomly you begin seeing her best friend frequenting the same public venues as you, you also begin noticing a behaviorial shift in her personality. For instance, you'll be leaving the grocery, pushing your cart through the parking lot to your car while talking to your girlfriend on the cell. Bluetooth in, hands-free, and approaching your vehicle you notice through the window that her bestie is laying in your back seat, shirt pushed up slightly over her bra, her bra pulled slightly under her breasts, jeans tugged down to her knees while her panties rest nudged around her thighs. She'll be fingering herself. You will be faced with an ultimatum: proceed to the car seemingly oblivious to her presence only to join her in the backseat with your crotch unzipped and member in hand or simply stop and walk away. Walk away from the cart, from your groceries, your car. Your fiancee's best friend. You'll walk away. You'll walk away and get just far enough from your predicament to look back and see your car engulfed in flames. The flames of obsession.
