yea i've delved into it a bit and bible thumpers claim its somehow a reinforcement of

"I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate."

for like denying god he'll send beasts to kill your kids. since he cursed the youths for clowning him and beasts came to kill them. since the dude was a prophet and all maybe the act of them clowning his baldness is somehow denouncing a prophet so he used god to murk them
