what route is that? recognition of self? truth in identity? he sounds more aware of who he is than I have ever heard him in his career... one of the most enjoyable and rewarding things to be able to witness in an artist....growth.
as far as his sound....this is the same cole sound since the come up .. this actually feels more close to those earlier mixtapes imo ... born sinner wasn't anything much different...aside from some beats I didn't even fuck with
