My salvadorian homie does some mean papusas with salsa and salad with all tons of salt on them then adds a lot of lemon juice to kill the acidity of the salt or some shit which I always find odd to my white brain but it tastes goooooddddd

my Colombian homie mauricio does something similar to papusas too but I’m sure he calls them something different entirely? Arepas maybe? they round them by hand, real fast, almost like they’re spinning them between their pressed palms and squeezing down the outer rim with the fingertips to close them up

legit never seen either serve up half an avocado like in those pics though
