if you drop a gs3 in the toilet and put the shit in oatmeal for a day...
...it might power up and work just fine like mine did.

Smartphone in water recovery process. (No bullshit)
All steps must be followed as quickly as possible.
Remove immediately. (Duh)
Power down if unit is still on.
Do NOT shake. (Shaking will drive water deeper into the handset)
Remove battery and sim if applicable.
Pat dry with absorbent material. Do not wipe.(see shake)
Cover unit with available dessicant such as uncooked rice or oatmeal. (Commercial products designed specifically for this are available.)
Leave unit in dessicant uncovered for no less than 24 hours.
Refrigeration, (not freezer) will help remove humidity.
Tips
Do Not blow dry, or use compressed air (see shake)
Oven at low temps, and vacuums have been used with some success. I wouldn't recommend it. Heat may damage finish or electronics, release glues, or glaze screens.
Don't laugh. Cause I laughed. And a short time later my phone was in the toilet. So to heal my smartphone karma, I've shared what I learned with you mufuckas, including my personal experience.
I hope no-one needs this guide. But, shit happens, and if you do need it, I hope it helps.
Peace
