Hmmm...assuming what you told me is truth....
I would ask him if there is a type of human which is competely unable to be violent. When he says no, then tell him
“ since l you admit that all humans are capable of violence how do rectify the contradiction that the right does not do that. “
This should work. If it doesn’t we can go deeper.
Ask him then, “ok I am willing to admit that both right and left extremists are capable of violence are you? And if so... out of 100 hypothetical occurrences of violence that are politically motivated what percentage would you say could be fairly attributed to the left and to the right?”
After he quotes a percentage tell him thank you.
That should end it.
If not he will say that the left does far more hate crimes or politically litigated violent acts....

You are now into apples and oranges though.
You then tell him just because the left commits more doesn’t mean the right doesn’t commit any.
