Part of cross examination is asking the same questions in different ways to see if you get conflicting answers. If he can’t remain poised during this then his temperament isn’t fit to be on the Supreme Court, imo.

This is a committee tasked with evaluating whether he’s fit for the job. It’s their job to judge this man. He’s been accused by a doctor who had hours prior given a credible statement claiming he 100% assaulted her. Maybe she’s lying. Maybe she’s confused... but what isn’t a camera trick or political gamesmanship is Kavanaugh’s reaction to direct yes or no questions. He was shifty. Unclear. He ran on and on about things unrelated to questions posed to him in order to filibuster his questioners allotted time. That’s not the temperament of a Supreme Court judge.
