It turns out that children's blood is a potent anti-aging tonic. These people digest it.
Turns out also that adrenalized children's blood is even more of an anti-aging tonic. So not only do they get high off of the harvesting, but also it helps their vanity remain.
this makes sense. Unfortunately.
