I think a ultimate writer style tourney be better then a noob tourney with loads of people who ain't newbies. Should have two groups. Top tier mentors for low tier guys or mid level guys who need to work on certain aspects of their writing. Then have them practice against some mid tiers. Then cap it off with a mini tourney. I'd even debate making the practice runs to build up to mini tournt as simple 1-2s so the feedback on the bar is quality an really helps elevate etc.

That's my opinion.
Although pointless running til play offs and classic finalised.
