I got my ass whooped by my mom. She used a belt, switch(branch from tree or bush), extension cord, and shoe. But only on my ass drop your drawls type shit. Also punched me in my chest during her "man up nigga" times. But she showed great love afterwards and always explained and made sure I understood why I got punished. I resented it but as I got older and seen how people were who didn't get disciplined I came to respect and thank her for how she raised me. She stopped whooping her kids when my lil bro came cause he was way more sensitive then me and my sister. She apologized to us but again we thanked her. Basically I'm saying is you will hate it now but it will build character. People are so scared to discipline they kids like timeouts will really work. Cause I was bad and my sister was worse timeouts was time to think of something else to do lol.
But now to the hate your family part. From how I see it "blood IS thicker then water" family will be there when the whole world is against u. Love the good and the bad cause I'm sure they love your good and your bad.
