Dear Clair,
Part I

A shock hit the mood when you walked in the room.
Fending your body as I detoxed ya perfume.
So hot, could make the dead toss in their tomb.
“You look familiar,” was the line I dropped on to you.
Then you were off on the move, my heart you would leave with.
You could keep it, till we met again, I wouldn’t need it.
Ignored and stood speechless when we crossed paths.
Honestly, my chest went beat-less when you walked past.
I forgot that I never talked back when you talked to me.
Tried to play it cool… but stood there awkwardly.
Out my league, doubted she would think to noticed me.
Wanted to freak you in every way and be like Jodaci.
Would go for me? Nah, I’m over in friend zone.
Visited your work daily, thought my cover had been blown.
So I toned it down, stopped strolling around.
Wandered off track on the road for your crown.
It was slowing down… then you run into me.
Lost for words, I was dumb with the speech.
Couldn’t believe that you left number on the receipt.
Couldn’t see that you were coming onto me.
Nerves jumping for weeks… too afraid to call.
Head was rolling, not knowing what to say at all.
I paced the halls before I picked up phone.
Couple of calls later, you got picked up at home.
Waiting for the kiss that condoned our relationship.
Didn’t happen at first, but I would wait for it.
Popped in the latest flick, I was not slick or cunning.
We wrestled around and I new the kiss was coming…
