They had a marathon of No Reservations yesterday. The way he respected the cultures he visited and received respect back enough for some people to open up about more than just food. That’s a good journalist. Guy came across as genuine and curious about life.
I’m not so much sad about his death, though. This is the world we live in. Fame itself is ripe for mental strife. I read somewhere that he was bothered by the impact his show had on some of the places he visited. Turning the restaurants into tourist destinations.
