23. Trumpocracy by David Frum (3/5)
24. Mere christianity by C.S. Lewis (4/5)

trumpocracy was ok not really anything you wouldn't have known from keeping up w the election and his first year in office, some good insights as to how Trump won his campaign based off of manipulating the hatred in men as opposed to actually having appealing policy goals....and then goes into detail on how he basically reneged on all of his campaign promises and acts like a mongrel in foreign affair relations as well as thru social media promoting stupidity and impulsiveness as a means to an end.....that end realistically only being to stuff his pockets at the exchange for our entire democratic systems stability lol. Also enjoyed the sections about his totalitarian approach to the media highlighting Megyn Kelly being forced out of fox news for questioning trump in a manner he didn't appreciate to replace him with tucker who would eat dog shit out of trumps mouth literally if tasked. the book was written by a conservative that was Bushes speech writer which I also found to be interesting that it isn't just some angry liberal trying to tear down the right blindly.

as far as Mere Christianity I thought this was amazing. his arguments for absolute moral law and also against the concept of duality were phenomenal. blew me away. the back half of the book was ok....I thought Augustine dealt with time far better and in much greater detail but some of his insights on eternity were very cool.

just about finished with Jordan petersons 2017 biblical phsychology lectures, really really loving these.
