as for split, whatever bro...u don't understand how this shit works tbh...an if I think dizaster won that's fine but I'm a go with the opinion of the 100+ people who watched it happen live...no offense, but if ur gonna talk down to me then I'm a reciprocate the favor...maybe one day ull speak to me like a respectable human being instead of insulting me for kicks an maybe then I will respect what u have to say...

an to objective, ur numbers are off...lemme just run some shit by u I know from personal experience...

venue - 1000
camera crew an editing - 300
artist travel - 1500
artist accommodations - 500
artist performance fees - 5000
flyers - 150
transportation - 100
street team promotion - 500

an that's just a basic run down for what it cost to throw the rapbattlenetwork event...sittin right at 10K...YouTube is close to what u said but it's actually less, averages to just under 3000 per million views...I know this cuz I have a YouTube channel with 250K views...

u charge 25 per ticket at the door an pull 250 people (which is a really high number if ur not smack or kotd or don't flop throwing one of their mega events, which actually cost a lot more than 10K to put on)...

so u just made 6250...u may very well pull 1,000,000 views off that (rapbattlenetwork network never will cuz they completely fucked the release of these battles off an actually killed themselves by charging for the channel without any kind of solid promotional scheme to back it up)...that gives u 9250...ur still 750 short of breakin even...

even if u did break even, that doesn't include the hundred hours at least the event organizer put into it an that is also assuming the five artists who flew out are the only ones getting paid...if u count the dudes they battling an what they get paid ur just even more in the hole...an that's for ONE ROUND BATTLES not full length battles...

nobody in their right mind is gonna put in that much work to pull that event off an walk away 750 in the hole, or even if they made exactly what they put in back, still not worth it cuz running an organizing events like that is a full time job...

if u make that an event where everybody on the card is a big enough name that they getting a stack plus travel an hotel to battle u just added another 5-6 grand to that...no way in HELL u makin that back off the door an YouTube...

don't flop pulled 500 people at their last event but they also spent at least twice that on throwing it an actually more cuz it cost bout a stack to round trip someone from America...there are sponsors but nobody wanna put up enough bread to cover the difference cuz battle rap doesn't provide a wide enough demographic to make the promotion u get as a sponsor worth the investment...it's too underground...

point being it's not nearly as easy as u think to make a living running a league...I've ran events before an while I didnt run this one I had a very detailed knowledge of what the costs were...I did music business law classes an so the league owner had me write out all the contracts for everything...

so being that someone spent at least 100 hours planning organizing an running this event, an probably deserves at least 10 an hour for their work, which isn't a very good wage tbh, add another thousand to it an u end up needing bout 1750 more than what the door an YouTube will make...u might get a thousand dollars in sponsorship money for that event but ur still 750 short...

an that once again is assuming only half ur main event battlers got paid...if they all get paid ur sitting bout 5750 short...the only way to make it worth anybody doing it at a professional level is if the fans contribute, same way u pay for UFC rights an boxing matches..

smack is the exception, but that's cuz he can pull a 2000 person crowd an charge 50-150 a ticket...his youtube channel pulls 150K views at the absolute least per battle an so he can legit expect 3-5 million views per event...but he's a very exclusive brand that only accepts battlers that personally know him or Beasley or Norbes an if ur not a fan of the URL style ur not gonna wanna watch those battles cuz URL lacks diversity in accepted styles...

point is, the money isn't what u think it is
