Champ Match: Knucklehead vs. Sharp Nine

Sharp Nine: Sharp Nine decided to spend his last week of classes studying for his 9 finals and hanging out with friends that he prolly won’t see for awhile instead of writing a rap battle verse for an internet forum. As a result, his verse was fairly inconsistent, with some good hits but bad misses as well. Knuck’s verse was pretty consistent all in all, and he was able to hold onto his title with relative ease. Hopefully Sharp gets his priorities in order when he signs back in. :)

Boredom vs. Aero

Sharp Nine: The much hyped (by Aero) was pretty cool all in all. Aero opened up with a nice hit but kind of fell off. Shank, on the other hand, picked up steam as his verse went along, that butler line was exceptionally. His verse ultimately picked by every voter.

Knuck: I personally thought this was one-sided. Bore came with some nice stuff. Nothing amazing though. He could have used that nephew concept at a higher level. Aero's was dope to some people, not to others. My beef with it was it's simplicity. Some dig that though. His verse wasn't horrible by any means, just no heavy hits and a bit inconsistent. He signed out like a hoe though.

Strikta vs. Cashius

Sharp Nine: The controversy of the week. This was a tight battle, with both guys having dope hits that split the voters. BOTW for sure. Ultimately, Cash got more votes - some had it as a preference in style, some found different lines to be more effective, but he ended up getting it 6-4. The loss seems to have pushed Strik into another retirement, but we hope he’ll be back soon since he could really do some damage in the league.

Knucklehead: Really close one. Strikta lost and made another thread about voting. Cashius had a dope verse, his cyanide line was killer. Both were pretty consistent. It seems from most votes for Cash were "Style Preference" so idk what that means, for me it was that farrah line being forced and the closer being used recently. Most battles Strik would have been able to pull a W with that verse but Cash was to consistent.

fathead vs. R!canTheoryz

Sharp Nine: fathead showed some more improvement this week with a little better wording, though his concepts were somewhat lacking. His style seems to be a little more shortly worded than most guys use nowadays, he could probably benefit from a little more space for ideas to develop. R!can dropped a passable verse and was able to do enough to win comfortably.

megatron vs. Pryde

Sharp Nine: This one turned out a little one sided. megatron brought a lot of funny ideas that hit decently while Pryde wasn’t too direct with his verse - he had some funny ideas but consistency seemed to be his issue this week. Voters agreed and gave it to mega, who’s record is starting to reflect his skill a lot better.

Untold vs. Flo Real

Sharp Nine: This ended up being a lot closer than I would’ve thought and was a battle of pleasantly surprising quality. Flo’s wording and writing ability was big for him here, getting his ideas out really nicely. Untold just came with another verse that shows he’s quickly becoming one of the guys to beat in the NBL, with strong concepts and wording throughout.

Jay vs. Nigma

Sharp Nine: This one was a bit of a let down, since I know both guys are capable of cooler shit. Nigma’s drop seemed to be more focused on rhyme schemes and flow, which he did well, but as a result his concepts weren’t too hard hitting. Jay did decently, but he’s capable of more. In the end, voters agreed Jay had the stronger drop with better hits.

Lotto Smirk vs. CTRL Alt Elite

Sharp Nine: Lotto didn’t really improve coming into this week and had a meh drop, and while I liked CTRL’s verse it seemed to lack any big hits. Hopefully Lotto gets a better handle on text soon and CTRL steps it up as his competition gets better.

We all know Strikta claims he's bout that life. But you ain't burning guns, boss

Dude's an alcoholic. YOU should control your life...the booze shouldn't, Strik
But unfortunately...Tiny Tim's got a crutch that Ebenezer Scrooge wouldn't kick
When my bitch wobble...that ass makes fucking her so easy, B...
When your bitch wobble...it's cause her knees are buckling from the obesity
No way have you EVER owned a home. We know you're more than cheap...chill
Only reason he throws a house warming party is because he can't afford his heat bill
Strik's gotta date rape to fuck. Next morning...them whore chicks'll just TRY and die
Most girls take the morning after pill to prevent pregnancy...YOUR bitches take cyanide

Strikta
