my wifes a teacher with a degree, anything from pre-school up to secondary school she can cover, so it not only made sense for her to stay home but that 1-2-1 teaching and interaction is beneficial for my daughter.
eventually my wife will return to work, she can take home £3000+ a month after tax, maybe not yet though - we want another kid at some point but long-term that will be the plan. it just makes more sense for her to stay home and me keep us afloat financially for now.

I did the same. The problem will be WHEN TO GO BACK TO WORK.
After 2 years it’s understandable to not want to work, and honestly raising a kid is s job in its self.
