I'd argue my style is complex in an entirely different way. Very few write with the dual rhyme scheme I do right throughout my shit.

B, C and so on. And I still tell a good fucking story, even with that high degree of technical difficulty added in. I make it look easy, it isn't. Maybe it's not style you were referring to, maybe it's substance, but since you said style I figured I'd address it as you called it
I can maybe see why some people may be into that depressed pseudo intellectual emo stuff, but it's not my lane. I just like to be entertained when I read something.
Again, it's all subjective I guess, but sophistication shouldn't be the be all and end all deciding factor IMO
