Why are they loyal to their party? Could it be because of their parties political stances?

It had everything to do with the fact they elected trump based on his policies, and just wanted the R in the senate so that he can succeed in bringing those policies to light.

So they were stuck between voting for an accused child molestor, or basically voting to have their president be ineffective, nullifying their vote for trump in the first place.
