counter striking does zero to inhibit a judges behavior on overall outcome, ring awareness, punches landed, activity do, along with other small factors. i think canelo took the pedal off the gas so ultimately ggg would gas him out, and while it did happen, canelo couldn't pull the trigger because he was a little worried about gggs aggression in a shelled state. either way, i think canelo boxed way better, exhibited more defense, offensive skills opposed to GGG just teeing off on the ropes. if anything ggg landed nothing really flush while throwing more and landing about the same. the pressure kept Ggg in the game and the inability to capitalize on breather and championship rounds caused canelo to dwindle in the cards, either way, canelo wins the rematch
