I think successful people are going to be successful in ANY era
BUT I do agree that there are some FLUKES of randomness with stupid people going viral over night....but they typically die out just as quickly simply due to the fact that they aren't actually talented

Another example is the cash me ouside or w/e chick. Legit joke but got rich/famous over night because of social media.
And I'm sure there are a shit load of more people who would've never gotten attention/noticed/famous if it weren't for social media.
