A lot of this I was aware of as I had to do a paper on this conflict my freshman year of college. But was still a good read and the part I quoted I found interesting because in my research almost, 4 years ago now, I don't remember finding what the part said that I quoted. Crazy not sure I even researched their constitution was just more focused on the grade at that time I guess.

"Officially, unification, i.e. annexation, is the ultimate goal for each Korean state. In fact, the constitution of South Korea doesn’t even recognize the North as a separate state, seeing the whole Korean Peninsula as the South’s territory. (It’s also the legal justification for accepting North Korean defectors, who are, if we extend the logic of territoriality, South Korean citizens.)"
