the only problem with it on a discussion forum is it removes the discussion factor.

so instead you present facts, evidence, and opinion to try to come to conclusions.

like, its a fact it is a rarity as far as human nature is concerned, there is evidence in the form of statistical data like suicide rates and likelihoods of other confirmed medical illnesses being associated with it, and finally opinions, like yea that doesn't seem right, seems strange.

so you find the kernels of uncertainty and try to pop them into delicious factcorns. the only problem is nowadays people are so set in the team mentality you have people coming in thinking you have an agenda and being closeminded to the actual discussion

i think this thread was relatively successful though, because diode actually stated his position and didn't just oh blergh ugh what fools it.
